After graduating from UCLA with a degree in Studio Arts, I exhibited my prints and drawings, winning several awards and acceptances into juried shows in the 1970's. I taught adult education art classes in Livermore and found teaching to be a direction I wished to continue. My commitment to art education led to my acquiring a teaching credential and teaching art in local schools. Adding a master's degree in counseling and additional studies in administration allowed me to work as a counselor, teacher, and administrator for the Pleasanton School District for the next thirty years. After retiring, I devoted all of my time to my art entering and winning awards in international, national, regional, and local art shows. My interest in art led me to pursue certification as a Creativity Coach so I could help other artists pursue their passion. I have recently relocated to Reno, Nevada, where I have continued my involvement in the art world, both locally and nationally. I paint and teach art classes and demonstrate for Atelier Acrylics. I am thoroughly enjoying a rich and fulfilling life in the Sierras.
